Last week I did a gig at Grijpskerk.  Alex recorded everything on film and since he was there anyway he also joined me for a song.

This week a few more demo's and some -work in progress-.

Here's one I did for Vic Holdroyd. It really is a duet, so maybe Alex and I will try it together some day….

I've also started my search for 20 of my best songs….to take with me to Germany.

Last week I did some demo-singing for Lonnie Ratliff and Vic Holdroyd.

These songs are not mend for me to release them or perform on stage (I can if I want to ofcourse),  but to give artist an  idea of how the song sounds…and if they are interested in recording them, they can contact Lonnie or Vic.

One of the songs I did was this one….

I've also co-written a song with Vic Holdroyd called- No turning back time-

and we made a demo and send it to the people that requested it……

I can go on and on about this…(just ask any of my friends and family members),
but Sir Cliff is my absolute # 1 performer and role model both on and off stage
and I will try , without going on and on and on….to explain why!!

* He always does what he wants….never went with what people expected
a rock-star to do….which is why most people don't see him as a rock-star,
but he is!!!
And I will take everything he says about starting and maintaining a carreer very seriously,
after all, who else has been around this long and this succesfull??

Sir Cliff Richard,  2010 (reunion tour)

* He has taken great care of his voice…his voice is different now,
then it was 50 years ago…(thats why I was so happy with the reunion album,
cause now MY Cliff sings those songs..)
but I think it has only grown…it certainly has not lost any of its original strength.
I think there are no songs that he sang in the early days that he could not sing now!
In fact…he now sings songs (like -For Life- )
that I don't think he was able to sing when he was 20.

* He's a most energetic performer….
No opening acts for Sir Cliff…if you pay for a Cliff concert then that is what you get!!
He is a pain for photographers, because he can't seem to stand still for more than 2 sec.
So there's loads of action on the stage which is a wonderfull thing to watch.

* He has used his talent and money in so many good ways,
supporting numerous charity causes. There is a bible verse that goes something like- when you are given
a lot, you're responsible for a lot as well- (not sure what the proper translation is), but anyway,
I respect him for taking that responsibility very seriously! Knighthood was no waste on him, that's for sure!!
What a Knight!!

* He gives his best, when performing…and you can just see how much he still loves performing!
When he sings a song like -Golden-….I feel tears in my eyes…it's so beautifull to FEEL
he means every word!
He takes good care of himself, knowing thats it's more pleasant to see an atractive person on
the stage ,rather than someone who does not take care of themselves so much,
Eventhough I'm sure most of us would still be fans if he was 250 pounds heavy,
but sang the same.
(but I guess calendar sales would go down a bit, hahahah)

Anyway….these are a few of my reasons for loving Sir Cliff…..
And as most of my family and friends also know…my absolute #1 wish on my wishlist
is singing a duet with him!!

 So I guess there's no doubt about it…..I'm a Cliffette…..

First time I saw Cliff live (not yet a Sir haha) was May 1990, Rotterdam!(been a fan since 1979)

Since then I've seen most concerts in Ahoy, Rotterdam , went to London in 1997 for the musical Heathcliff and also saw the reunion concert with the Shadows both in London and Rotterdam!

Last time I saw Sir Cliff live was in Dortmund (dec 2010) where he was on Night of the proms…, even made a new version of Summer Holiday for that, ….haha

next time will be oct 2011 (unless he calls before that time to do a duet ofcourse   )

I can also do a Sir Cliff tribute act……
